Aikido for Children

All age groups can benefit from learning Aikido. Children require regular exercise to stay fit both physically and mentally. The children will be challenging their minds and bodies on their way to mastering new skills.

Aikido, for children, also supports a positive, healthy development of character, self-confidence, self-control and self-discipline. Students gain basic physical conditioning, coordination, and respect for others through cooperation.

Parents are encouraged to take part in classes with their children at no extra cost.

Parents who decide to participate in class are required to wear a gi (uniform).

For students that strive to develop themselves in Aikido through diligent and persistent effort, Aikido of Albuquerque offers a Junior Senshusei Mentorship Program
